About the Presenter
Oconee Law Firm is a boutique firm serving residents of Oconee County and the surrounding areas in elder law, probate, estate planning and special needs planning for those families whose members have unique abilities. Our firm handles estate law from long term care planning and drafting documents (including drafting Powers of Attorney, Last Wills and Testaments, and Trusts), all the way through the probate process when a family member passes away.
Dennise Grayson leads our team, helping our clients during their most difficult times and working closely with those who have lost a loved one to navigate probate, long term care expenses, and asset protection. Dennise Grayson is a native of Athens, Georgia and earned her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Dennise worked in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles before she returned home and opened her practice in Oconee County to be near her elderly parents, Faye and Norm Grayson.
Ms. Grayson is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to advise and apply for Aid and Attendance Pension benefits. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (“NAELA”) and served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chapter of NAELA; Georgia Options; and served as Secretary for the Athens Area Senior Resources Network. She has served on multiple Boards of Directors for civic organizations such as Oconee County Pilot Club, and she was a founding member and past President of the Oconee County Civitan Club.
Dennise is licensed in Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and Connecticut and focuses her Georgia practice on estate planning, elder law, probate matters, and special needs planning.
Dennise assists her clients by drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and special needs trusts; representing families in guardianships and conservatorships; assisting with life care plans to help clients (or their parents) age in place and maintain quality independent living; developing strategy for long term care benefits; applying for Medicaid and Veterans benefits; handling Probate matters and estate administration.
